I'm Baaaaaack!

I did not forget about you all, I promise!  Things got busy mighty fast with the holidays.  Between my Christmas Choir Concert, a College Graduation, cookie baking, sicknesses, last minute shopping, and the whole event that is Christmas, I am just pooped.
We always bake cookies as a family every year.  As a family, I mean my mom and my sisters and I.  This year my brother's should be fiance already (hehe) came as well.  It was a lot of fun and lots of cookies were made.  We are still eating them.
Christmas Eve is such a blast.  We have church in the early evening and then we head to my mom's for dinner and present opening.  It was lasagna this year which was awesome and boy were the presents flying.  My mom got us a Wii Fit Plus and Wii Active to go with our newly purchased Wii for the boys and it has been christened to say the least.  Word of advice would be to not start the Wii Fit weigh-ins on Christmas Day in the midst of the fun holiday eating.  I have done nothing but gain weight since beginning :)  We also got a Shark Steampocket Mop which I am growing to just love so much.  The first time I used it, it seemed to take a while to clean the floors but I think it is just that the pads needed washed once to break them in because it worked fantastically the second time I used it!
Back to Christmas, though....
So, Christmas morning our house was filled with lots of goodies for all of the kids.  They must have fooled Santa into thinking they were the most well behaved kids in the universe or maybe he thought we were another family, because their was sure a lot of presents.  Between Legos, Batcaves, blocks, bouncing zebras, these kids are good until they are teens :)  Then we hung out all morning with pancakes and toys until the meals at my sister's and B's dad's house began.  The evening ended with dinner and presents at B's dad's and then sleepy kiddos in the car ride home.  A VERY successful yet tiring holiday to say the least.
And now to begin my healthy eating.  I really need to get better at eating.  Today was my first day without cookies and I ate candy!  So, I need to pack the junk away and just start being healthier.  I have been exercising so I truly believe if I just ate better the pounds would start to come off again.
Over this holiday, I truly felt thankful for family.  Everyone reminded me in their own special way how it is so easy to take family for granted when it is naturally such a part of your life.  With accidents and surgeries, I so could have lost B a few times in the last few years and what a difference my world would have been.  Thank you B for being my rock and my best friend.
